...excuse me?
i really hate to do another tech article again and instead do something different, thus diversifying my website, but this thing rather angered me.
well, as with the impending beta release of MS Longhorn comes the beta release of internet explorer, version 7. microsoft is telling webistes to change things in the code of their sites in order to support IE7. what the hell? when has the internet ever revolved around microsoft? ok, dumb question, so dont answer that.
the majority of the internet is finally getting around to supporting mozilla firefox, so now theyre gonna have to turn around and fix things to support a new version of IE? i mean, i know its inevitable, and more or less necessary, but it seems to me like microsoft has too much faith in its web browser despite falling usage.
the only things that IE7 is including new is tabbed browsing (firefox did it first), better security (you forget, this is microsoft we're talking about), and theyre considering adding a new version of a popup blocker (whoopty fracking doo). firefox has done all of those since day one.
i just think its funny that its taken firefox one version what its taking microsoft SEVEN versions to do. that means a useable, flawless windows operating system is only what? 2 or 3 versions down the road? geez...
